I find getting Catalyst the Protecter early helps with mana issues, and then getting damage items like Nashor's Tooth and Lich Bane give her nice use of her passive, and consistent damage so you can rely on your W and E for more utility. Then consider getting heavy damage items (Rab's Deathcap or Void Staff) or defense like Rylai's or Zhonya's, depending on how you're doing.
and I’d assume you build the Catalyst into a rod of ages as soon as possible?
