If you’re interested 3s tend to be faster paced due to closer lanes and higher gold value for minions. Jungle is extremely important for long games and control of it can assure you victory. Because of the smaller team sizes tanky DPS champions are favored over squishy glass cannons in most cases. Champions like Shaco and Kassadin can go against that meta because they can blink over walls making it possible for them to go from one lane to the other in about three seconds for ganks that nobody could call mia on without voice chat, wards, or both.
OP champions in 3s include but are not limited to: Singed, Shyvana, Shen, Rumble, Nocturne, Gangplank, Mundo if the enemy has no ignites, Gragas, Malphite, Maokai, Renekton, Olaf, Nocturne, Sion, Rammus… Basically too many to ban
Common bans are: Shyvana, Singed, Rammus, Sion, Shaco, Tryndamere(if the enemy bans Rammus you better ban Tryn and if you ban both you are assumed an idiot), Akali, and Renekton.
If I owned Nocturne I would play him because he is amazing in 3s. You can jungle and farm all you want while your team pushes and if a Fight breaks out you just have to ult in and “secure” all the kills.
