I haven’t actually played Nautilus at all yet.
From what I’ve seen though it isn’t really possible. Sn0wfall tried going pure AP and it didn’t work and I would assume AD or attack speed wouldn’t either because he literally has the lowest base attack speed in the game. Nautilus was designed as a pure tank, CC machine, initiator with just enough damage to get noticed by the enemy team if you’re doing well.
